Why Coffeeshop Millionaire and MLM both Fail.

The answer is in a video that Simon Sinek did about 3 years ago for TED:

Reason: Anthony Trister and his buddies (like most marketers) are really just telling you hows and whats.

Let's face it, making a million bucks by learning how to pitch and close affiliate sales isn't all that interesting. Not enough to bet your life on.

Sure, it's amusing for awhile, educational, interesting. But tell me why most people in Affiliate Marketing and MLM "opportunities" spend a great deal of money and rarely make over $500 income any average year (note: that's income, not profit.)

Because they don't know and don't agree with any Why. If they're told one.

"We have a great program that can make you rich!" That's a How and a What.

Where's the Why is getting rich?

How do movements continue after their founder has passed on, and succeed beyond anyone's dreams?

Because they have a Why greater than their How or What.

"Getting Rich" is a How - so you can then accomplish, achieve, or acquire What?

None of these are a Why - which is the reason which keeps getting you up every morning.

Sure Trister lays out the what and how in his "underground" video's. Great. And?!?

Just to cut this short - you need to follow a real leader. And leaders lead with inspiring Why's.

I'm in the middle of upturning all the traditional, conventional wisdom in marketing.

It's not that what Trister and Co. say don't work. But the failure rate is way too high.

Because "getting rich" and "not having to work for a living" are only How's and What's.

You have to know and share your WHY in order to get a following.

That's your challenge.

(Stay tuned for updates as we break this down backwards...)

What the Coffeeshop Millionaire Doesn't Get...

The Coffeeshop Millionaire shouldn't be about affiliate offers and making money - it's about giving real value.

People want to learn how to earn extra income online - not just keep hearing about how to spend it.

Check this link out - a sample of the regular posts coming out of CSM these days: http://list.coffeeshopmillionaire.com/oempro/wb.php?p=ta/vu/rs/paf/rx/rs#

Two out of the three are something you can buy. All the headlines make it seem like there's an interesting story there - but after the fluff, someone is wanting you to buy something.

You got to wonder why I'm still subscribed after all this time.

Well, at it's basic, the Coffee Shop Millionaire does give a decent overview of how to succeed, particularly if you just want to find out how these fast-buck affiliate offers wind up in your inbox - and how they expect to profit from your opt-in.

I keep following these emails just to see what Trister is going to do next (well, I think it's Anthony, but he may have sold or contracted the rights to someone else...)

What should be happening is some great advice about what you can do - tips and tricks - which will open up additional services or products you can in turn help other people to apply. The real secret to getting rich is right down the lines of The Golden Rule: you have to help other people succeed in order to enable them to help your success.

Your point as usual is to "Let the Buyer Beware."  Check out the popular posts on the right and decide for yourself. Certainly, CSM is a cheap enough entry. But realize also that you've just added more traffic to your inbox.

A New Review of Anthony Trister's "CoffeeShop Millioniaire"

What's the Secret to Anthony Trister's Success?

Persistance.

Look, he figured out how to get all this stuff up there and then went off to let it run for awhile. It ran down - no surprise there.

As I mentioned earlier, he's hired someone to re-work it and get it all snazzy again.

Those are the good points. Same old material, great new face. Works as well as it ever did.

The new design has problems...

Weird things happening at CSM...

After I've been ranting about how it's a scam and what-not - someone has gone and changed things around.

Now there's  not all the access to great materials, but the videos are back. New design and more accessible.

Still checking this out, but thought you'd be interested in an update.

Update: The old site is over at http://archive.coffeeshopmilliionaire.com - this is obviously someone rebuilding the scene. I just pulled up my scraped versions of the old videos and it's apparent they are just going through a new template and adding the video's one at a time.  There seems to be some hit-and-miss "new" content which is linked directly. Any video that has to come up in a pop-up doesn't.

Someone has paid a designer to do some nice stuff here. An ongoing scene...

Update: Yes, it's looking like a new launch is upcoming. There are no options now for the low-res or podcast versions - just the high-bandwidth video's. If you sign in with your old login, you now get access to all those video's which were an insight into how their "aggressive" (read: over-hyped) product launches are done. (I'll stick with Jeff Walker.)

And for now, they've moved the "Cash Machines" over into the VIP area, substituting them with some sort of narrated slideshows on 12 modules which I guess is supposed to be some sort of newbie training. (Save your bandwidth - download the PDF's and read them instead.)

And a corporation has been formed - "Coffee Shop Millionaire Education Inc." or something. Once they get their designing done, look for some more affiliate traffic happening. Their video's tell about relaunches...

New Review

If you check out Warrior Forum, you'll get a more balanced approach to this. Seems the subject isn't for newbies as it isn't organized well enough. And the "underground video's" are interesting, but worth just about the $37 you have to pay for access (although they point out you can get in for $27 if you simply try to leave the sales page and take their down-sell.)

As usual, just looking out for you.

What is interesting is that this blogger blog is ranking so well these days. This is because most of the affiliate buzz is gone. These guys took down their sites and blogs and have abandoned this scene after they got what they wanted out of it. And now, I don't have much competition in this area.

Which is good for you, as now you can get the straight scoop on how things run.

Here's a model I do recommend - and it's all free marketing training. (If you "go pro", it's just under $15 a month - MLM RockStars. While it deals with Network Marketing, the same approach they teach can be applied to any type of online marketing.

Check it out.
